MRC – Medical Refuse Care
MRC is a mobile unit for safe and decentralized disposal of medical waste – built on an Iveco 4x4 chassis and designed for deployment in remote or infrastructure-limited regions. Originally developed for use in Africa, the system offers a cost-efficient alternative to stationary installations.
By integrating key components like Sintion (thermal disinfection) and Shredtion (needle and waste shredding) from Christoph Industries, the MRC transforms infectious waste into regular residual waste – safe, compact, and compliant.
Instead of bringing the waste to the machine, MRC brings the machine to the problem.
My Role
In the early development phase, I worked on shaping the concept, aligning it with the use case and technical constraints. I coordinated with partner companies, defined system needs, and helped turn a rough idea into a workable foundation – before handing it over for detailed design.
